I want to know what everyone's favorite books are!! I need something to read since the Twilight series is over, but I'm pretty clueless when it comes to the book world.
I'm a sucker for good (clean) love stories so if you know some good ones tell me!!
My favorite is "The Secret Journal of Brett Colton." You can find it at the LDS Bookstore.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good one. My neighbor emailed me a list of some good ones I'll email them to you. and no I haven't finished Breaking Dawn yet, lame huh.
ReplyDeleteI have recently read and enjoyed a few books by Philipa Gregory. She writes a lot of historical fiction and she wrote "The Other Boleyn Girl". These are really thick books but read pretty quickly, mostly because they start off with a bang and are pretty intense the whole way through. They also make you look up the history behind it all too, so you are kinda learning something! I know there is some romance in these books mostly a lot of sexual tension. I can't remember if there is anything too explicit. A word of warning though, stick to the historical fiction. She has a few other books that are just her fiction ones, they tend to be pretty disturbing, I have started to read a few and had to put them down.
ReplyDeleteI have recently read some of the classics that I've never read before. They take some getting used to because of the language, but I have loved them.... mostly because I love the movies! :) I read Jane Eyre and Pride and Predjudice and really loved both of them. I would read them again. I know how you are feeling, I'm going through withdrawls from no more Breaking Dawn! Oh, I also read the Atonement, that was good, a little part was kind of explicit, but other than that, it was great! I have that if you want to borrow it.
ReplyDeleteI love using goodreads.com because it helps me see what people I trust are reading and what they recommend. I love it!!
