The Truth Comes Out!

Okay, many of you guessed it...#4 is my lie, but only depending on timing. Otherwise, they're all true!
1. The summer after high school I worked at Cedar Point amusement park near Toledo, Ohio, and I was Sister Bear in their Berenstain Bear Country. It was the best job I ever had--I got paid incredibly great money to get hugged by kids all day!
2. It took me four years to enjoy being a stay-at-home mom (SAHM), and my oldest is four years old! I've totally struggled with this, off and on, but a few months ago I talked to my mission president about it (he just finished his PhD in marriage and family), and he gave me a huge reality check as well as sending me a bunch of articles reinforcing the fact that diapers and dishes are NOT the fulfilling part of being a SAHM. It's the precious moments that happen when we least expect it that make this job fulfilling, and I just needed to focus on the positive.
3. I love thunderstorms. I really do! Even with all the craziness that comes with them in MN, I still find them kind of romantic, somehow. I think it started when I took an Art in India class in college and learned that when thunderstorms are depicted in Indian art, they're a symbol of romantic love.
4. I kissed my ex-boyfriend while my husband was in the other room. I really did this, but it was the night before my first date with Brian (my hubby), so I was still totally legal (if possibly a bit of a hussy) in doing that. For the record, Brian and I totally laugh about it now. Actually, we laughed about it then, too, oddly enough! Apparently, we really were always meant to be together! :)
5. The summer before I met Brian (in between my two years of my masters degree), I traveled to Europe. I met my friend in Paris and watched the Bastille Day fireworks next to the Eiffel Tower, then we went to Greece to help one of my undergrad professors with measuring some recently discovered ancient theatres (I got my MA in theatre history), then we stopped in Oxford and London for some sightseeing before I started my summer job managing a theatre venue at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. So, I hit four countries in six weeks...I wish I could've seen more, but I'm so glad I traveled so much before settling down!

Just lyin' around...

Okay, sorry I've been MIA, ladies (and thanks to Cassi for catching me up on the game)! Here are my five lies:
1. I once spent a summer dressed as Sister Bear from The Berenstain Bears.
2. It took me four years to enjoy being a stay-at-home mom.
3. I love thunderstorms.
4. I kissed my ex-boyfriend while my husband was in the other room.
5. I've traveled to four countries in six weeks.

Nobody guessed it

  1. TRUE I worked at a bungee jump for a year and a half. Before we could get certified we had to jump 25 times. Then before every shift we had to jump 5 times and if it was slow they asked us to jump to draw attention to it. It was one of the best jobs I ever had I loved it.
  2. TRUE I am a huge sports girl. I love the Lakers and the Angels. When I wake up in the morning the first thing I watch is sportscenter to see whats going on with my teams. I am so happy that the Lakers beat the Jazz.
  3. TRUE I did marry my dad's best friend. They work on the railroad together and they also golf together. My dad didn't want us to start dating because he was afraid that if it didn't work out that he would lose a friend.
  4. FALSE I have never hiked the Grand Canyon and I never will. I am afraid of Cliffs heights I can handle but not cliffs.
  5. TRUE I do not like sweets. I would much rather have a baked potato and a steak.

I TAG LAURA

Finally, the TRUTH!

1. I had 2 kids by the time I was 20.
TRUE. Yup, I was a teenage mother. So embarrassing, but I got married at 18, just before my 19th birthday, and pregnant just 5 months later. My twins were born 2 months prematurely so they arrived just before my 20th birthday and 1st wedding anniversary. Crazy!

2. I am an amateur chicken farmer.
TRUE. I have 6 pet chickens that I raise for eggs. We are currently getting about 3 eggs a day and in another month, should be getting 5-6 daily! I am a farm girl at heart.

3. My husband came to my high school graduation.
TRUE, although I was a bit tricky here. I graduated a semester early from high school and went immediately to the local community college where I met my husband. His little brother was also in my graduating class and he went to the ceremony to support us both. He was there, but only my boyfriend at the time. But now that he's my husband, I can say he went to my graduation.

4. I once flashed my boobies at my date.
FALSE. I didn't flash my date! Who do you think I am?! I flashed his friend! Ok, we were on a group date and I had to climb over a chain link fence and a friend of my date told a joke and I started laughing and couldn't get myself over the top of the fence. So I started to lower myself and the guy thought I was falling and pulled me over the top, hooking my shirt and bra on the pointy part of the fence. I fell down and my shirt went up and my bra broke apart and the lucky guy got a face full. My date didn't get a peek, he was behind me. Oh, and I couldn't fix my bra and there was a gaping hole in my shirt so I had to go home and change.
BTW, just a couple months later, my date proposed, and I married him!

5. I can touch my elbows behind my back.
TRUE. Seriously, I can really do that! I am really flexible and can even still do the splits.

That's me!

Little Lies

Ok, I just realized how boring and ordinary my life has been! But out of sheer force, I've come up with a few things about myself.

1. I had 2 kids before my 20th birthday.

2. I am an amateur chicken farmer.

3. My husband came to my high school graduation.

4. I once flashed my boobies at my date.

5. I can touch my elbows together behind my back.

(how many of you just tried that last one??)

6.03.2008

Find the Lie about Letti

  1. I have bungee jumped too many times to count probably close to 700 times.
  2. I love to watch sportscenter and am a huge Angels and Laker fan and I never miss a game on TV.
  3. I married my Dad's best friend.
  4. I have hiked the Grand Canyon 2 times.
  5. I do not like sweets.

Here Comes The Truth

I am sorry I am kinda behind on this, I have been in the process of moving, and now have my computer set up!

1. I didn't attend my High School graduation. TRUE, I did not attend my high school graduation. I moved my senior year (my third high school) and from day one I was ready to graduate. I graduated 'early' and started Ricks College the end of May 1998, thus missing my commencement. Do I regret it? A little, I never 'walked', or wore a cap and gown, or had a really big party. But I loved my summer at Ricks and it was great to be around so many awesome LDS kids (I was the only member in my high school).

2. I've trekked through the Tetons with a llama. TRUE. My freshman year of college I did a program with Ricks College where we lived at the Outdoor Learning Center in Tetonia, Idaho. Part of that program was a week long hike in the Tetons with none other, but llamas. We would pack the llamas with all our stuff (ie: tents, food, etc.) so we didn't have to worry about all the weight. llamas are weird animals, lets just leave it at that. It was a great experience, very physically challenging, but a great memory.

3. I've never dyed my hair. TRUE. I have virgin hair. I am starting to go grey around my face so I think I might take the plunge and turn in my hair v-card in July and get some highlights.

4. I was kissed multiple times on my mission. TRUE...and no it was not by my zone leader who is now my husband!;) I always told my companions that I was going to stand up at my homecoming talk and say that I got more action on my mission then off. I didn't say that, but it might be true! Italy and Malta are very touchy feely places, and there were many times that before I could do anything about it, a young man would pull me in and kiss me. I also had a scary experience with an Arab guy in my first city, and without going into too many details, I will say that he kissed me multiple times. I will also say that I am grateful for those Nephite Warriors who were assigned to me that day.

5. I was supposed to be a twin. LIE! I wasn't supposed to be a twin, but I have always wanted to be one! I had a little imaginary twin sister when I was little named Rebecca. I would pretend play that we were at camp together, just like the twins on the Parent Trap.

I now tag Letti! Have fun!

The TRUTH about Heathere

1. I have shot a school teacher point-blank in the face with a rubber band.
I HAVE shot a teacher in the face with a rubber band. In 6th grade we had a substitute teacher and we were joking around. I held a loaded rubber band up to his face and he said “go ahead, I dare you to do it”, and so I did it. I promptly got in school suspension and detention. Then when the real teacher came back I got in trouble a second time when she found out. Later on in I think history class we were studying government and I found out that this was double jeopardy and should not have happened.
2. I once peed my pants as an adult while grocery shopping
I HAVE peed my pants as an adult. Two years ago, when I was about 8 months pregnant with Lijah, Jason and I went to the grocery store. When we got there I had to go REALLY bad and I could not find the bathroom. When I finally saw the bathroom in sight my brain told my bladder that it was time to let it go….and so it did. Then I had to finish shopping in my peed in pants!
3. I inherited a love of puzzle magazines from my mother.
I DO love puzzle magazines. When I was little my mom was always at the kitchen table with a Dell or Penny Press puzzle book. Every free second I get you can probably find me doing a puzzle in one of my many puzzle magazines. If you ever feel the need to get me a gift puzzle magazines are ALWAYS welcomed!
4. I once had a man with a foot fetish stalk me.
This was my lie. However, I had a picture of my feet that I had posted on my Flickr site (this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/hwilloughby/104998078/in/set-1585481/) and a man made a comment that I had beautiful toes. When I looked at this man’s site he had all kinds of pictures of feet and had other pictures of feet as his favorite photos. So he didn’t really stalk me – but he could have been a potential stalker.
5. I have a sweet little boy named Clark swimming in my belly.
Yes, I do have a sweet little boy named Clark Capel Willoughby in my belly – joining us at the end of September.

Little White Lie

1. I didn't attend my High School gradutation.

2. I've trecked through the Tetons with a llama.

3. I've never dyed my hair.

4. I was kissed multiple times on my mission.

5. I was supposed to be a twin.

You can't handle the truth!

1. Valentine's Day 1996 in a Russian elevator: TRUE! My friend Nancy and I went to Moscow for 6 months in college to teach English as a Second Language. We lived in a really tall building, and on Valentine's Day, we decided to get some exercise by running the stairs. (all 20 stories!!) We did this for a while and after we were done, we thought we'd give ourselves a break by taking the elevator back up to the 15th floor, where we lived. The elevator got stuck between the 2nd and 3rd floors, and if you know anything about old Soviet buildings, we could still be there if we hadn't banged and yelled loud enough for the security guards to hear us. (They thought we were nuts anyway, wearing shorts and running up and down the stairs in the middle of February). I guess I wasn't stuck in the elevator the whole day, but 45 minutes in a Russian elevator feels like a lifetime...let's just say the standards of elevator cleanliness aren't exactly high over there!

2. Trespassing on NASA property during my honeymoon: TRUE! Geoff and I went to Florida on our honeymoon, and a woman on the plane ride recommended a particular beach as being very natural and unspoiled by hotdog stands, etc...We found the beach and were walking hand in hand, googling at each other and probably looking like some kind of ad for an arthritis medication or something, and suddenly we heard this person SCREAMING at us. We turned around and there was a woman about 400 yards back, waving and yelling at us. We couldn't understand what she was saying, but she seemed very insistent, so we walked back and she was saying, "STOP!! You are trespassing on NASA Property!"She was saying all this stuff about protected lands and how we were endangering the ability of the astronauts, etc..Geoff said, "Oh, I'm sorry, we didn't realize." She looked back at us like were nuts and said really sarcastically, "Right. I'm sure you didn't notice the sign." SIGN? We turned around and there in ENORMOUS red letters was a huge sign saying NO TRESPASSING-DO NOT PASS THIS POINT. THIS IS NASA PROPERTY." We had completely missed it...We tried to explain that we were on our honeymoon and not really paying attention to anything but she just looked disgusted that we would lie about something like that. Hee hee...

3: I've been up to my ankles in french-fry grease: TRUE! In college, my friend and I got a job working as short order cooks in the student union. One of the closing duties was to drain the big fryer of its grease and fill it up with new stuff for the next day. It was somewhat complicated, involving turning the whole thing off to cool, then turning a valve to drain the fryer, removing the big tube, putting in a different tube, turning the valve back on to fill the fryer back up. My friend was in charge of it that night and I was around the corner. Suddenly I heard a big scream and my friend yelled "Molly!!! HURRY!!!". I ran around the corner and almost did the splits because the floor was so slippery-somehow the tube hadn't gotten connected up and grease was gushing everywhere and my friend was just standing there laughing because she was so freaked out. It really only took a few seconds for us to get the right valve turned but by that time we were both ankle deep in grease and I was laughing so hard I almost wet my pants. Fortunately the grease was cool, or it could have been really bad, but I still get the giggles when I think of how funny we must have looked.

4. I have personally helped put a man in jail: TRUE!
I'm realizing all these things happened in college! I managed to leave my wallet/planner under my seat after a class, and then it was gone when I went back for it. I called my credit card to cancel it and you guessed it, it had already been used! This was Logan Utah in 1995, so identity theft wasn't really common knowledge--stupid me had thought some handsome RM was going to show up at my dorm with the wallet and that would be the beginning of our love story...:)

The card had been used to buy some fancy hiking boots, and the woman at the store gave me a description of the guy who'd bought them. I showed up early to class and guess who strolls in wearing the boots! I called the cops and they questioned him but let him go, saying it was my word against his. The guy was waiting for me after class and we walked around for a while (I cannot believe I wasn't scared, but I guess he was kind of short!). He was dancing around the subject until finally I came out and asked him if he had taken my credit card and he said "Yes!" He said he'd never done anything like this before and please could he just pay me back, his parents would be so angry with him, blah blah blah. He played just about every sympathy card there was and I ALMOST felt sorry for him, until he tried to appeal to my sense of religion--he said something about God's forgiveness, and at that point I just got mad, because I realized he was being manipulative. I told him I needed to let the police handle it. At this point we had walked to my dorm (again, stupid I know!) and he turned away, saying he had to go to class. I couldnt' believe he thought he was just going to walk away, so I said, "Um, you're not going to class, you're going to jail!!"

The guy took off running! My friend was working at the front desk and I yelled, "That's the guy who stole my credit card!" And then I ran after him! He didn't have much of a head start and like I said before, he was short and wearing hiking boots, so I caught up to him. We had this completely surreal conversation about facing the music and then a cop car showed up. They took my statement and I wrote how bad I felt for him because he'd never done anything like this before, etc. The cop read it and said, "He told you he's never done anything like this before??" It turns out this guy had a record a mile long...my little Nancy Drew experiment was the last straw and he ended up in jail for a year. I still cannot believe I was dumb enough to confront the guy....

#5: My parents never planned to call me Liahona. There's no real story, and my kid is freaking out, so I'll spare you all another story. :)

I tag Heathere!

5.24.2008

Here comes the truth

1. Truth, I was really good as kid at getting my point across to people, so I just thought debating in a court of law would be cool. I have since changed my mind.

2. False, as much as I wish I had stuck with it I never played basketball in high school.

3. Truth, in high school I volunteered at St Joe's hospital in St Paul. I used to get really light headed the first 24 hours of my period and happened to pass out once. The hospital paid for the ER visit and the stitches in my chin.

4. Truth, I never really competed with my car stereo but the guy I was dating and that installed it. Made sure that it was in case I wanted a company to sponsor me.

5. Truth, it all started when I brought a friend from high school to a church dance. It was August and very hot, so we went outside to cool off. While outside we were really excited and hyper, we saw dandelions and it just became a silly joke that we still have.

There you go, know you all know hings about me that you would not have otherwise!!!

5.19.2008

Oh the tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive...

Ok--here goes! Which one do you think is false?

1. I spent Valentine's Day 1996 stuck in a Russian elevator.
2. My husband and I trespassed on NASA property on our honeymoon.
3. I have been up to my ankles in french fry grease.
4. I have personally helped to put a man in jail.
5. My name was supposed to be Liahona, but my parents changed their minds at the last minute.

5.18.2008

Guess which one!! I bet no one will!

Sorry mine are not very exciting. I guess I have not had as many adventures as the rest of you!

1. When I was a little girl I wanted to be a Lawyer, because I thought it would be cool to get dresses up and get paid to fight/argue with people.

2. In high school I set the record from most rebounds made in one season at my school.

3. While volunteering at a hospital I passed out in the bathroom and had to be rushed upstairs to the ER.

4. I used to have a competition level stereo system in my car.

5. When I was in YWs I used to smoke dandelions at church dances.

Here you go. I'm not sure if anyone is going to get it!! Good luck!

The Lie Revealed

So girls not one of you guessed my lie! I guess the chocolate one threw you off, that surprised me for some reason. Now before you get upset that there is a girl out there who doesn't like chocolate, let me explain...

1. True, I really don't like chocolate. Yes, I am one of those strange girls. My mom noticed it when I was young when every year after Easter, my chocolate easter bunny was left untouched for months. I thought the bunnies were way too cute to eat! Sometimes I would nibble on an ear but it wasn't tempting enough to eat. The jelly beans never lasted more then a day in my basket though. Even today I look for the chocolate chip cookie with the least amount of chips. I have a Sam's Club bag of those mini peanut butter cups left over from Halloween that I forget we even have! Kent has started taking them to the YM to get rid of them. I have a candy jar full of Lindt chocolate that I never touch, so if anyone wants to come visit me, they are all yours! I do eat chocolate if it is a minor ingredient, but nothing too rich. I DO love pies, baked goods, fruity things, and the occasional brownie. Yes, I am weird.

2. True, Kent and I were harassed on a train going from Austria to Germany by German border patrol. We had bought tickets for the local train and got on the express, a ticket price difference of over 22 Euros (a lot more money with the exchange rate!). We kinda knew what we did and played dumb American tourists (even though Kent is fluent in German!) as they eyed us and our bags. They were really cold, terrifying guys but in the end they let us pay them the difference in the price and they left us alone. I guess you can't get away with things like that, nice lesson in honesty! That was such a great trip, if you have a chance to go to Munich and southern Germany ever in your life, GO!

3. False. I wasn't asked out by any band member of Ocean Blue. They did play at BYU my freshman year and I went with some friends. We all had huge crushes on the lead singer (who was married). After the show we decided to stalk them down at their hotel, real cool I know. Since there was only one good hotel in Provo it was easy to figure out where they would be. We bought a few frosties as gifts from Wendy's and sat in the lobby until they got there. They were really nice and talked to us for awhile and one of the guys exchanged email addresses with one of my friends. But no dates for me.

4. True, I was a finalist in the Miss Northern California Teenager pageant when I was 16. I didn't make it past the 10 finalists though. It was a fun experience, but I am not a pageant kind of girl!

5. True! This one fooled some of you. I have met someone from every spanish speaking country there is! When you look it up there really aren't as many countries as you might think. Serving a mission in New York City (the melting pot of the world) Spanish speaking was a great and cultural experience. I taught people from all over the world. They really loved talking about their countries, sharing their food, and telling us what was different about their people then other hispanics. It was a little hard to keep up with the lingo for each country so I stuck with the basics. We got really good at figuring out what country people were from by what they looked like and/or their accents. We even had one Elder from Bolivia and two Elder's (brothers actually) from Uruguay. The mission had missionaries speaking English, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese speaking Elders), ASL, and Russian (some of them were from Russia directly). So I met people from all over and can honestly say that I have met someone from every Spanish speaking country.

There you go! Hopefully you learned something interesting about me. I am really enjoying reading all of your posts! I feel like I haven't been too involved in the blog lately. It is mostly because I have come down with a terrible case of Morning Sickness! It is going around I hear. Luckily I am starting to feel a little better. So expect some exciting news from the Archibald's around Dec 2nd!

So I tag...Molly!

The Truth Comes Out

Alright, the moment you've been waiting for...

1. Ok, I just like to brag about this. It happened while Rob was on his mission and I was determined to have lots of fun. So, at one point I did go on 9 dates in 8 days with 9 different guys. How cool! I still get some grief about this from Rob, but the way I see it, it was better to have fun with lots, instead of get serious with one.

2. For those of you who chose this as my lie, you are correct. I did not accidentally light my friend's cabin on fire. It was my brother. There were about 50 people at my friend's cabin and my smartie pants of a brother was trying to keep the fire going by filling the little cap on a can of gasoline, with gasoline, and putting it on the fire. Well, it eventually "fired back" at him (I'm so funny). Anyway, the rug next to the fireplace caught on fire, and people started yelling. I was outside when the yelling started, so I ran inside, only to be thrown a towel and told to help get the fire out. While we were all frantically trying not to let the cabin burn down, no one noticed that my brother wasn't there. After it was out, someone asked where he was so we started searching. Someone found him outside on the ground, passed out. He had burned his hand pretty bad trying to get the can of gasoline out and away from the fire. So another kid rushed him to the hospital. Moral of the story...eagle scouts don't always know what they're doing.

3. Ok, so I thought more of you would guess this one. I tried to throw you off a little. I will just tell the story. My dad didn't want me to go to BYU because he thought I would just be whisked off immediately into marriage. So Freshman year of college, there was a girl in my ward who met a guy in September, was engaged the next month, and married by December. (if this happened to you, that's not a bad thing!) Anyway, my roommate thought it would be funny to pull a prank on our parents. So in October we started telling our parents that we met someone. And throughout the next month and a half, every date we went on, we would tell our parents that it was with this guy (who we made up). It was getting pretty serious, so we decided we had to take "him" home to meet the parents. My friend asked one of her friends to be her boyfriend, and funny enough, the friend I asked was Rob. (we weren't dating, we were just friends!!)
We took them home. My friend's (Amy) family were so nice, and my family was, well, so rude. Quite the contrast. My parents hardly talked to them, and my mom asked when we had to go. Anyway, it didn't go well. Well, Amy and I took it one step further and a couple days later went back home with fake engagement rings from Wal-mart. We got it on video. Her familiy was again so nice, and happy for her. My family...oh dear. Well, my dad was furious. My mom started crying, my youngest sisters were thrilled because they really liked "Jason." After a while of my mom crying, and some awkward silence, I went to give my mom a hug. I said, "but mom, don't you want to know the best part of all of this?" And she said, "What? ........ Are you lying to me?" When I said yes, she threw me on the ground and started hitting me! My dad just stood there, trying to take in what had just happened. My youngest sisters were very sad, indeed. And my sister that was recording was just laughing. My mom tried to say she knew the whole time... ha, ok mom.
The next time Rob came up to my house was a few weeks later. As soon as my mom saw him she ran up and gave him a hug and said, "I'm so glad you're not going to be part of this family!" Nice one mom. We sure showed you!

4. I cannot whistle for the life of me. When my youngest sister was 5, she learned how to whistle, and since she was just so cool, she put it upon herself to make fun of me whenever other people were around. So rather than whistling while I work, I prefer to hum.

5. And finally, the chefs. I must tell you right now that I have had a pretty boring life, so I dolled this one up a bit. Coming out of a haunted house, my friend and I were on dates and we were walking to our car. Across the street was a restaurant and there were 4-5 cooks standing outside with their aprons on. They were just staring at us, which we were suspicious of, especially after just being in a haunted house. Anyway, almost to our car, we notice that the chefs were following us, so we speed up a little. Julie tried to get her keys in the lock, but dropped them (classic movie scene). We finally got inside, but our dates would not come, they thought something was funny... So we just left them. We waited on another street for about 5 minutes, and thinking they'd be gone, we went back to get our dates. We stopped the car, they got in, and these crazy (or in this case we'll say angry) guys jump on her car! They were hitting the windows, and we saw that they were not cooks from the restaurant, unless it's normal to have blood stains and crazy makeup on in a restaurant. they were butchers from the haunted house! After screaming for a good couple minutes, Julie just decided to drive. One guy would not get off our car, so she swerved a little, and he jumped off. Great, now I have crazy cooks to add to my list of things I'm most afraid of.

Hope you enjoyed that! I tag...Rachel

The truth is out!

So here are some of the weird stories from my past. Okay, they're really not that exciting when they're explained...

1. Willie Nelson sweat on me. All true. I grew up in Southern Utah and so during high school my friends and I would go to Mesquite, NV (outside of Vegas) to eat at buffets and swim when it was still freezing in Utah. On one trip we saw a man sitting by himself in front of one of the casinos. Being the popular culture magnet that I am, I recognized him instantly as Willie Nelson. His stylish belt confirmed the fact by having his name along the back of his waist. This encounter was during his money issues with the IRS and he was thrilled to have young girls (probably the fact that we were in our swimming gear didn't hurt) recognize him and want a picture with him). The tank-top clad country singer gave us very sweaty hugs to round off the experience. Ahh, my brush with fame!

2. I attended an anti-nuclear protest surrounded by hippies. True again! My sweet parents are hippies at heart and when my brother and I were kids they jumped at the chance to take our family to this protest in Nevada. The protest was actually against underground nuclear testing - which looking back I totally agree with being banned (we have many family members who have suffered from radiation effects from the nuclear testing prior to WWII). I remember thinking it was weird and singing some rocking versions of Blowing in the Wind. I'm not quite sure, but I think I was also wearing a poncho - doesn't that make it cooler?

3. I spent a summer wearing knickerbockers. True again. Back in the day when I played the cello way-to-much, I spent a summer at the Interlochen music camp in Michigan. They have the unusual dress code of navy knickers or shorts with a light blue top. After trying the corduroy knickerbockers, I immediately loved the serious comfort this piece of clothing provides. I gladly wore them all summer with classy light-blue knee socks to top off the ensemble.

4. I've had my life threatened by a federal felon. This is my lie! In my pre-motherhood life I worked at the U.S. Attorney's office for 5 years as a federal financial agent. This job meant that I had to do some serious research (snooping) into convicts financial affairs and make them repay money they owed to their victims. We also had to force many to come back to court. So, even though I was sworn at a lot and many hated my guts, I never got an actual death threat (even though co-workers did!).

5. A member of my family has injured themselves participating in terrorist activities. True again! My dad's side of the family is all from Ireland (he moved here for graduate studies and then he met my mom) and my great-uncle on this side became briefly involved with the IRA (fanatical Irish group). In his craziness, he blew off his thumb building a bomb. Even though he has an exciting past, he is one of the nicest people ever!

Thanks for the fun idea, Cassi. Now I tag Christine!

Liar Liar Pants on Fire

1. "I have an upside down tooth"--TRUE--In fact its an extra, upside down tooth, under my gums. I have all my teeth plus this one. My oral surgeon never wanted to take it out until it made a cyst around itself out of fear of paralyzing half my face. Its under my bottom, front teeth. Weird huh.

2. "I have had 2 kidney stones."--TRUE-- When Mikelle (2) was 6 months old I had the worst pain in my kidney after my brother Rob (my husband was out of town) took me to the ER they found 2 kidney stones, 1 of them was trying to work its way out. After a week in and out of the ER they finally admitted me and surgically removed one of them. So I still have one left, I curse the day it decides to come out.

3. "I flew on a plane with Jerry Springer."--TRUE-- I had just graduated high school and on my way to the East Coast to visit my sister and lo and behold Jerry Springer was on my flight, of course he flew first class. We were all joking that he was probably dieing for a cat fight to break out in coach. I wanted to start screaming at my sister for sleeping with my boyfriend, haha.

4." I was hit on the head by a traffic arm."--TRUE-- I was a freshmen in college and my roommate and I were walking into campus returning books for cash, and all of the sudden she yells "watch out" at the same time I was being hit on the head/shoulder with the traffic arm. There was a nice line of cars lined up waiting there turn to exit the parking lot, it was really embarrassing.

5. "I have never gambled."--LIE-- I have gambled, though I don't do it often, I find it kind of fun. However, my husband and I just spent a few days in Vegas together and I begged and begged him to gamble just a few dollars with me, we lost $23 in less that 3 minutes. Never even making $1. We quit after that, and it didn't seem as fun anymore.

I tag Chalece!!!!! :)
