I shot out my parents sliding glass window when I was a little girl (8 ish) because I thought that the red button on the b-b gun meant safety.
As an adult my most embarrassing moment would be when I lost it with my kids and screamed the scream of frustration (that loud, psychotic, I can't take it anymore scream) and as soon as I was done screaming there was a knock at the door.
It was my friends husband coming to ask if I could watch his kid for ten minutes. The look on his face was priceless when he said, "Is this a bad time?"
Oh this is embarrassing...but when I had just gotten to Italy as a brand new (jet-lagged) missionary and was at the Mission Home...I went to shower and forgot a change of clothes. I tried to run from the bathroom across the hall to my bedroom in my towel without anyone seeing me but just then my mission president walked by and said "Good morning Sorella." I about died of humiliation.
I was walking into college with a roommate to sell back our books at the end of semester. We were in the parking lot talking and walking and I was so busy telling a story and all of the sudden my roommate yells "WATCH OUT!!!" at the same time I was hit on the head and shoulder by one of the traffic arms that go up and down to let you out of the parking lot. There were many cars lined up to leave too.
I was 14 and getting ready to enter High School as a freshman. I had to have a TB test done before I went to orientation. I was super shy and so nervous about starting high school. On the way to the orientation I had to run into the dr's office and have the TB test checked. My mom told me to just run in, have the spot looked at and come back out. I was trying so hard to be an adult and was so nervous to go in all by myself that I forgot what the test was called. So I walked up to the front desk and in my most adult confident voice said "I am here to get my VD test results." I said it loud enough that the busy waiting room probably all heard what I said. The front desk girl got my chart and starting looking through it. Then she realized my mistake and started to laugh. I was humiliated. The nurse came out, looked at my arm, and gave me the form. I couldn't get out of there fast enough! Luckily I didn't know anyone there.
How to choose? Well, in 9th grade math class, I was struggling to get my math binder out of my back pack and pulled really hard on it till it yanked free only to catapult a tampon stuck to the bottom all the way up to the front of the room near the teacher. I jumped out of my seat to step on it and cover my mistake, but there were just too many guys sitting near me.
There's also the time I flashed everyone on my second date with my now husband playing frisbee golf. But that wasn't so bad, it got me married pretty quick!
