Bacon-wrapped Prunes

I know this is going to freak some people out. I have made peace with that. However, these little puppies are so good. They are meant to be an appetizer and if you make them and anyone scoffs at you just tell them that they are French. That will explain a lot.

Bacon (cut into strips about 3 inches long)
Prunes
Toothpicks (I like the flat ones)

Wrap each prune with a piece of bacon and secure it with a toothpick. Bake on a cookie cooling rack on a cookie sheet in a 425 degree oven for 15-20 minutes (just until bacon is cooked). The are best served at room temperature.

Seriously, I don't like prunes either, but these are good. Go ahead and mock me. I can take it.

I may just have to try these. Yummm, that bacon picture to the side looks soooo good. My bacon never turns out like that. Is there a good brand out there that anyone can recommend?

Anything with bacon is good, right? Although I don't even know if I would know where to find prunes in the grocery store??
